Our first attempt at solid (bit of a misnomer, that) food, just about a week before getting to six months old.
First we tried out our new (plastic, wipe clean) chair.
Then on the big day, we were slightly nervous, and not sure what was
expected of us. Of course, intrusive press photographers snapping
away were a bit distracting.
But lunge and snap and we soon had an eating
technique that would do a voracious crocodile proud. Mummy and daddy
kept their fingers well out of the way.
Bit of a breather while a fingers count was completed.
Daddy seemed to think he should be in charge of the spoon, but we soon
explained matters to him.
We also made sure mummy wrung every last drop out of the bowl,
before finishing off with some playing with the spoon.
We examined snow. We decided it was very nice, but best observed from
inside a snowsuit, in a coat, under a hat (and a blanket) tucked into
a fleece-lined pushchair. Very nice, it was, from there.
We've also started taking flying lessons. We like them.
