Our first christmas day. Christmas has passed us by, we are totally oblivious (if slightly perplexed as to why the crazy adults have started bringing trees into the house). Actually, even the tree is treated as nothing out-of-the-ordinary, and the lights are similarly spurned. Quite keen on silver sparkly paper (specifically the paper on one of grannie's presents), but otherwise the season has apparently made no impact.
On christmas day, however, we're all dressed up (and so is mummy -
possibly the first time in five months that her hair has had more than
12 seconds attention in the morning!).
A sparkly-paper present (from Great Aunt Janetta) was honoured to
be the first ever wrapped present to receive the Rachel treatment.
After some time chewing and slobbering over the sparkly paper, Rachel
was persuaded to consider opening it...
and so we met Pangbourne Bear - the big hit of the day!
In fact, we so liked the bear that we were inseperable from the moment
we met!
A bit of a breather from the stress of all that present opening.
We also got a cage, in case we turn dangerous (and we've still got
Pangbourne firmly grasped, you will note),
a highly chewable picture book, and loads of other loot, all of which
apparently was very tasty.
For some of our presents we waited 'till Boxing Day.
We danced with all sorts of people (grandparents, great aunts, cousins
and all sorts visited us).
But most of all, we still like our bear.
