Laura was born at 11:59 on 9 August 2005. Another beautiful daughter for Jane and Ian.
Just 22 minutes old. Happy with mummy, but still a bit uncertain about the world.
Waiting for mummy, who was wheeled off for some checks a few hours after
the birth (nothing as alarming
as with Rachel, however).
Mummy re-appeared and we slept on contentedly.
The next day big sister arrived ...
... bringing the teddy bear she had chosen specially.
However, we slept almost all morning.
Allowed home later that afternoon, after just one night in hospital. Everyone else was very keen on this, Laura slept on!
... and on.
The one thing we really, really, really don't like, is having our
nappy changed. As soon as anyone starts anything unseemly, we start
howling fit to burst.
Even when our brave big sister helps!
Actually, we are awake sometimes, and often quite cheerful when we are. This is just before our first bath.
But this is just after - baths are nearly as unseemly as nappies, apparently.
